Festival immersion for international visitors
A visitor who watches a Ganesh visarjan from a hotel balcony sees a crowd. A visitor who spends the ten days with a mandal — helping build the pandal, sitting through the aartis, walking with the procession — understands something they cannot get from a guidebook.
We host that second kind of visit. Small groups, placed with communities and mandals who have agreed to host, with someone alongside who explains what is happening and why, and who makes sure the visitor is a participant rather than a spectator with a camera.
Programmes run for Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri and Garba, Durga Puja, Diwali, Holi, Pushkar, Onam and Pongal, with craft, music, cooking and philosophy workshops built around them.
The host community is paid for hosting. Whatever is left after costs funds our other work — so cultural exchange pays for the gaushala and the training centre.

Questions about this programme
Is this a tour package?
No. We are a non-profit, the programmes run at cost, and any surplus goes to our charitable work. Host communities are paid directly. We are not a commercial travel operator and do not market ourselves as one.
Do I need to be religious to take part?
Not at all. Visitors come from every background and none. What we ask is respect for the community hosting you and a willingness to participate rather than only observe.
