Every large Indian city has bodies that nobody claims. They are handled as an administrative matter, which is lawful and entirely without dignity.
We take those cases. Transport, shroud, the rites of the person's own faith where it can be established, and someone present who is not being paid to be there. If a family exists and simply cannot afford a funeral, we cover it and do not ask them to prove poverty at the worst hour of their lives.
We also handle the paperwork that follows — death registration, certificates, and the insurance, pension and succession claims that a family cannot begin without them.
Almost no trust in India does this work. It attracts no photographs and no donors, which is precisely why it goes undone.

Questions about this programme
Do you perform rites of all faiths?
Yes. Where the person's faith can be established we follow those rites and arrange the appropriate priest, imam, granthi or minister. Where it cannot, we proceed with a simple, respectful ceremony.
My family cannot afford a funeral. Will you help?
Yes, and we will not ask you to prove it. Contact us and we will make the arrangements.
